david heath

David Heath – Bass Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Vocals

David was born in Fort Carson Colorado Springs CO, and began learning the bass guitar at the age of 12. At 14 he picked up the alto saxophone, bass clarinet, baritone horn and trombone. Despite joining his high school band 2 years after other students, he was able to catch up with the rest of his class in 2 months, even having to learn to read music on his own. His professional start was forming a band with his school mates at the age of 14, and getting paid to play just a year later. David started hitting the road a few years later, and by 18 was a sideman with recording artists such as Clarence Carter, Roy C., and Z.Z. Hill.

David relocated between Colorado Springs CO, Augusta GA, Miami FL, and San Francisco CA from the years 1979 to 1983, traveling with various bands like Gratitude, The Sunshine Band, and Oakland’s New Direction band, to name a few. Since returning to Augusta, David has worked with the likes of local Marvin Sease, Richard “Dimples” Fields, Eddie Floyd, Isaac Hayes, James Brown, Fred Wesley, Narvel Felts, and too many others to name.

David currently lends is guitar and vocal talents to MP4.

kevin foster

Kevin D Foster – Keyboardist, Rhythm Guitar, Saxophone, Vocals

Kevin Foster was born in Paterson N.J., and has reveled in the music business for quite a while. He spent his earlier days working with Miami hit makers like Pretty Tony, Willie Clarke, Betty Padgett, Sherman Hunter, Joey Gilmore and countless others. Kevin also collaborated on many dance hits that came out of Miami Florida, like “Look Out Weekend” and “When I Hear Music” by Debbie Deb, and Trinere’s “I Know You Love Me”.

Kevin later decided to become a recording studio engineer, helping create hits for other artists. After performing as a backup vocalist and keyboardist (among other instruments) with numerous bands, Kevin worked on his own album in the early 90’s. The album was entitled “All Kinds of Love” which earned him artist of the month with the then popular website mp3.com.

Kevin now performs with MP4 as the band’s keyboardist, rhythm guitarist, saxophonist, and lends his vocals to the band’s sound as well.

julia foster

Julia Foster – Bass Guitar, Percussion, Vocals

Julia “Jules” Foster was born in Queens N.Y. and started getting into the music business late in life. She first worked on stage with her husband Kevin Foster as a background singer for many artists. Gary Palmer is a well known smooth jazz saxophonist who has worked with many other musicians in the genre. Gary also happens to be Jules’ brother, and she lent her varied musical talents to his popular album “Love Me Again”.

Jules comes by her talent naturally, and she has benefited from having her husband Kevin share those interests as well. Jules decided to pick up the bass guitar late in life, but as they say, better late than never! Performing with the local Augusta Ga band “Perfect Picture”, Julia became one of the favorites on the local scene. Her fanbase is so loyal in fact she even did her own album at their repeated requests! Jules has had numerous articles written about her unique style and sound.

You can listen to Julia lay down her best basslines and lending her voice currently with MP4.
